Performance issues when many house numbers loaded

Is this a…:
Performance issue
Steps to reproduce this issue:
Apologies if this has already been reported, I couldn’t find a post for it.

When there are many house numbers mapped and loaded on the screen, the editor becomes very slow when panning the map. Some other aspects like adding house numbers and mapping places appear to be slow for a couple seconds initially. This makes it challenging when mapping HNs in an area with lots of other HNs mapped such as new estates.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Be in an area with lots of HNs mapped. Example PL: https://waze.com/en-AU/editor?env=row&lat=-26.82775&lon=153.03940&zoomLevel=18
  2. Ensure you are at zoom level 18+ so the HNs are loaded
  3. Left click and drag across the screen to pan the map
  4. Notice it is very slow

Hi @BeastlyHaz,

Many thanks for your report. There is some lagging indeed. I have opened an internal ticket so it can be looked into.

All the best,
Olesya

I think the real problem there is the comment about the terrain. Because whenever I see a comment like that on my screen, I see WME get really like a “drunk” after a while :joy:.
