One aspect that remains to be improved is how users currently are made aware about the need to add a pass to use certain roads in some of our countries. We know that the current way it works is temporary and that you mentioned having a better long-term plan. Now that we’re well passed the holiday season could we have more info about it?
In one presentation we were shown that people would be able to click on “Routes” and that the alternatives would show the vignette routes to them with a red banner under the route saying a pass is required, a screenshot showing it for ZTL zones was added to the presentation. Is this still planned?
It was noticed by some Champs that when you plan a drive, the time-to-leave notification only considers routes that do not require a pass or vignette, resulting in telling people to leave much earlier than really necessary, apparently regardless of their added passes in the client. Any solution for that? (We know you’re checking, please update here also when you know )
We got through the launch and technicalities of mapping WME and adding passes on the client. Now these remaining problems need to be resolved as well for the feature to make complete sense, otherwise it’s still good but only for people who know about it, leaving those who never heard of it completely lost and confused at times.
I know most of these things have been mentioned in the HO already, but I thought the forum would be a better way to keep track of official/important updates about it.
Today I recieved two forum PMs from french community editors:
Those messages reminded me of this thread, and I was hoping we could get an update since it has been a year - even if it’s just to say it fell down the priority list but is still on it and not totally fogotten and abandonned.
Also any idea about the support for passes in the livemap? I think Ruben’s first estimation/guess was around the end of 2019 originally.
Any response will be welcome and better than none at all.
