RPP Address Validation Error – Valid Address Flagged as Invalid

Is this a…:
Standard bug
Steps to reproduce this issue:
Case 1: https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=32.83950&lon=-97.44111&marker=true&zoomLevel=18&venues=172097864.1720716500.21291976

  1. Navigate to the permalink above
  2. The address is already there — try changing “679-5” to 6795 (removing the dash)
  3. Notice it gives an error saying the address is invalid, even though it’s a valid address

Case 2: https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=32.43514&lon=-96.55726&marker=true&zoomLevel=18&venues=172622148.1726483627.20509291

  1. Go to the permalink above
  2. Move the RPP to the actual location and try to save address 1610
  3. Notice it gives an error saying the address is invalid
  4. If you try 1611 instead, no error appears — so the issue is with the valid address itself

Hello @Leoxoo ,

Thank you for reporting the problem.

I have created an internal case for this issue and the team will look into it:

As for case 2, don’t you mind if I try to reproduce the error on my end by moving slightly the RPP pin? Alternatively, could you please provide a screenshot of the error?

Thank you,
Kasia

Good day!

Thank you for your response,
feel free to do move or edit that RPP,
Here is a screenshot for that error,

Hello @Leoxoo ,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.

I tried to move the pin but the error didn’t appear on my end so I passed the case to the team for investigation too.

Once I have any updates, I will let you know.

Kind regards,
Kasia

Hi!

On my end, the error appears when you move the RPP closer to the actual house location.
