Is there some WME House Number for Dummies?

I can use the app, but i donā€™t know how to save that information on live map.

And I donā€™t need a 3 steps tutorial. I need a 30 step tutorial. :lol:

All you have to do is turn on the House Numbers layer in WME. Thatā€™s it :smiley:

In which point are you stuck exactly?
1 - Did you send the email from the application?
2 - Did you install the tampermonkey extension on Chrome?
3 - Did you install the House number script on tampermonkey?
4 - Did you click on the ā€œShow HNsā€ link that will appear on the bottom right corner in the editor?
5 - Did you paste the string you got on the email?

I knew that something was missing in my attempts :slight_smile:

It was point 4.

But now, it does not show anything

The ā€œshow HNsā€ button appears, it asks for the string, I put the string but nothings happens, nothing appears after this.

Hi,
I have updated the WME Toolbox, now the House number helper does not work. I have just added the 0.5 from Monkeyguts, and there is no change. The Show HNs is visible. I can paste the scripts from the e-mail, but it does not appear on the map. (Tried with scripts that I used earlier as well, the HN layer is switched on.) Do you have any idea?

Sorry, I didnā€™t saw. The creator already sent me a message with a solution for my string. There is a problem with the app. He is fixing it.

I updated the application, version 0.9.9 now should solve the problem. Please try it and let me know.

If you have strings that you cannot display on WME send them to me via PM, Iā€™ll modify them in order to make them work and then Iā€™ll send them back to you.

Updated the script (current version is 0.4.8) for making it work again on the new WME.

Thanks for this tool. Iā€™m just starting to test it out. One thing I noticed, the color orange bubbles are only good up to 3 digits, after that it can be hard to see

Would it be possible to increase the diameter of the bubble, or to make it wider and oblong (of itā€™s not too hard, only when there are more than 3 digits)?

One more suggesting for when you have time to play. I noticed sometimes if Iā€™m walking fast two addresses next door to each other end up displayed on top of each other in the map. I believe this is because my location didnā€™t update that I moved slightly between pressing ā€˜store HNā€™ both times. If its not too hard my suggestion would be in the script, if it sees there are overlapping entries to nudge the display over slightly so they donā€™t overlap in the display. (I think you can look at the Junction Angle Info script, it may do this already.)

I want to report a conflict between this and another script. I am posting this in the thread for both scripts.

When using WME Chat addon simultaneously with WME House Number Helper (Eng. v.) I see this issue. The issue goes away when I disable WME House Number Helper.

When I click the Permalink+ icon in WME Chat addon, the message gets filled with javascript:; instead of the Permalink.

Is the ā€œMemo Layerā€ new and I missed the memo saying how it works? Maybe I did not have the Memo Layer on to see about the new layer? It appears on my Layer drop down list only when this script is enabled.

Maybe this script is enabling a future Memo layer feature built into the editor?

No, itā€™s not a future WMEā€™s feature. From the application now you can choose to add a text memo on your current position (the function is in the menu), then it will be (horribly) displayed on WME when youā€™ll load the string.

  1. I donā€™t see any text memo field under any menu in the Client App. Is it only in the beta?
  2. Somehow the ā€œmenu layerā€ option is only displayed when I enable this extension. Is it only me with this result?
