I need Waze to show directions to the primary public access gate into our neighborhood, marked in green at the top of photo. Currently it gives directions to the gates that are for the owners only access marked in red in photo. To complicate this further, some house addresses are not inside the gated community. Therefore they need to not be affected by the directions to the public gate.
Hello JuleeG, I have placed gates at the two locations you indicated in red, they had not been edited onto the map before, so that will alleviate most of the issue you brought up. Thanks for the report

Good afternoon, I just checked the app and it still shows the route using the owners gates on Norma and Christopher accessible by the public. Public entrance is at Jean St.

Julee - So We are unable to differentiate between resident and non-resident at this time.
What we can do is if you let me know the name of the community, I can make a place at the gate on Jean St called: Subdivision - Public Gate
What you would then do (which is common across all of our gated communities) is tell people to go to that place (Once we create it) and once they are in the gate they then can update the instructions to a address inside the community.
For residents - they will just navigate to their home address, for visitors they will have to navigate to the place I’ll create once I know the name, then to the address.
I know this is not ideal, but it’s the solutions we have available currently.
I just had this exact problem with a buddy of mine, I had to navigate to the place, then once inside I could enter his address to go to.
Sorry we don’t have a better solution available currently, but we are working to have them give us better solutions as this problem affects pretty much every gated community in Florida and other states.
Please let me know the community name for the gated area and I’ll get that setup and let you know when to test it.

Ok thanks, the community is Sanctuary II…Google Maps supposedly fix their maps but I don’t use them so I don’t know what was done…
