Vignette -Let's make U-comm better

Hey all,
Hope you all are doing well

We are checking a way to target our U-comm to our users about the Vignette in a more specific way. This means a user will get an encouragement massage based on roads he drives usually, which might indicate the passes he has for it.

The biggest advantage we have this way is to help our users to add the permit they have in one click (not via the passes screen) and we believe it will help increase the percentage of users who will add a pass.

We are also checking the option to have the ability to add more than one
but step by step

For that, we need your help informing us with the list of all roads that will be mapped with the Vignette passes.

All we need is:
Name of the road EXACTLY as it is mapped on the WME (we will take the segments ID from it)
Vignette pass name you will use for it.

We attached a spreadsheet for you to use and fill out all the info about your country.

please let us know if you have any questions,

Best,
Ruben and Hezi

Sorry, we fixed it.
Should be working now.

Thanks, spreadsheet filled, all done

If something is named with freeway name, it does not necessary mean, that vignette is needed on all segments of that name. So please bear in mind, when you will do query to DB, that it has to be checked also for the toll attribute (or vignette attribute, depends on time when you will do query).

We have also Ramp segments marked as toll, but i think we should ignore them when filling the spreadsheet, because of huge amount of unique names?

Ramps don’t make sense I think, as they are connected in any way to vignette highways.
Slovenia Freeway and Express roads entered in sheet.
Some Freeway segments have (currently still) an other name, but you can’t reach them without passing segments with real freeway name, so current list must be enough.

I got two more questions:

  1. If you will be able to identify toll segments id’s, it has to be possible to set vignette right away in your database and there is no need for us to make that manually (maybe some tweaks but the main work would be done by you). Am i right?

  2. Is there any additional penalty when routing crosses the border? Example: last segment in CZ has vignette CZ and first segment in SK has vignette SK. Is there any penalty added to this? We discussed with Irad several months ago that problem for routing is when toll route is interrupted. So until now toll was toll even when crossing border, but now it will change.

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Thanks for updating the spreadsheet, it will be very helpful.
We still have a few countries missing before we will be able to continue the ‘soft launch’ and start all the U-comm as it was described.
This why we have not added the permits on the client yet. We don’t want it to be there without any communication from our side.

As for your questions and comments:

  1. We want you to add to the list all roads that have a vignette on them. If you know about roads, that a major part of them does not have a Vignette, please let us know and we will find the best way to handle it.
  2. Regarding Ramps - there is no need for you to add them as we believe the only way to reach them is by going on different segments that have the Vignette ( if we are wrong or if there is an exception, again please let us know)
  3. As far as we know, no penalty should be added when a user has a border crossing on his route ( if something will change, we will let you know)
  4. Regarding the possibility to set vignette right away in your database it will be checked.

Thank you for all the Q, it’s important for us!
Best,

Ruben & Hezi

OK, who needs help with their list? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello!
It’s the “Hungary again”, our vignettes (except the countrywide e-matrica Hungary) are already out and in use. (Obviously we will edit them in the same and correct way together with everyone else!)
If you want to get the ID-s of the roads that are effected pull all segments that have e-matrica [whatever] on them. Why do you need a list of:
M1 - e-matrica Hungary, e-matrica Pest, e-matrica FejĂ©r, e-matrica KomĂĄrom-Esztergom, e-matrica GyƑr-Moson-Sopron
M7 - e-matrica Hungary, e-matrica Pest, e-matrica Fejér, e-matrica Somogy, e-matrica Zala
so on. Why and how does it help exactly?
And I ask this because I feel like this is not exactly what you are looking for with this kind of data. Because you can’t just tell someone who wants to use M3 to add all (or any) of the 6 vignettes that some segments of M3 has. It doesn’t work that way.

Also we have significant amount of the M0 free to use the other parts require e-matrica Hungary or e-matrica Pest to use. And these road are not marked as toll (with the checkbox) anymore so if you filter by that it’s not gonna work. Just use the alread set vignettes and add e-matrica Hungary to all the road you got.

Can we give segments ID manually? It will be better for our solution. Otherwise I am afraid something might go wrong.

Hey,

Of course you can. We wanted to have it easier for you.
If you think this is the best way for you - It will be great

Please add it to the same spreadsheet.

Best,
Hezi
